A Message from Our CEO: Preparing for a New Chapter
It is with both gratitude and a sense of celebration that we share the news that Ronni Blumenthal, our CEO since 2018, will be retiring at the end of June 2025.
In her announcement, Ronni reflects on the incredible journey the foundation has undertaken during her tenure. From transitioning PMSF into a robust organization with a dedicated team and governing board to spearheading initiatives that advanced research and family support, Ronni’s leadership has been nothing short of transformative.
When she joined PMSF, her mission was clear: guide the foundation through a significant stage of growth. Over the past seven and a half years, she has not only fulfilled that mission but exceeded expectations, fostering a sense of hope and resilience in the face of the challenges presented by Phelan-McDermid syndrome.
In her words:
“It has been an honor and a privilege to work with all of you. I leave you with the most incredible team of employees, the most committed and motivated board, and soon, there will be my successor—someone with a new vision who will take this organization to its next stage of growth.”
As Ronni looks forward to her next chapter, she remains a part of our community, promising to stay connected and even volunteer at the 2026 PMSF Conference. Her unwavering dedication and compassion have left an unforgettable mark on PMSF and all of us who have had the privilege to work alongside her.
Please join us in thanking Ronni for her visionary leadership, tireless efforts, and heartfelt commitment to our mission. Let’s celebrate her incredible impact and look ahead to an exciting new chapter for PMSF.
