The 2025 Impact Report highlights meaningful progress made by the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation (PMSF) in advancing support, care, and research for individuals and families affected by Phelan-McDermid syndrome.
Driven by a strong and engaged community, PMSF expanded its reach across three core priorities:
- Connect: Nearly 300 new families were welcomed, with over 2,400 connections made through programs that provide guidance, education, and community support.
- Care: Access to expert clinical resources grew significantly, with more than 3,600 care-related resources accessed, helping families navigate diagnosis and complex medical needs.
- Cure: Research efforts accelerated through data collection, grant funding, and global collaboration, contributing to over 850 research engagements advancing the path toward treatments.
The report also reflects strong financial stewardship, with $1.24M in revenue supporting programs that strengthen community connections, improve medical care, and drive research forward.
Looking ahead to 2026, PMSF remains focused on expanding clinical access, deepening family support, and accelerating research to bring effective treatments, and ultimately a cure, closer to reality.
